皆さん、日本のインターネットカフェ又は漫画喫茶にいらっしゃったことはありますか。 日本人の方で行ったことがないという人は少ないかもしれないですが、日本のような便利で快適なインターネットカフェはそうそう何処にでもあるものではありません。ご存知の通り、最近のインターネットカフェでは、所に寄って違いはあるものの、フリードリンクや長時間の滞在など当たり前です。ずらりといくつもの本棚に並んだ漫画が読み放題で、さらに最近の雑誌など幅広く用意されています。2，3年前に流行った言葉でネットカフェ難民というものがあります。 ネットカフェ難民を初めて耳にした時はとても驚きました。実際、ネットカフェを利用してみると大変便利なことに気づきますが、そこで寝泊りをするとなるとまた話は違います。リクライニングの椅子があるといっても、しょせん椅子は椅子です。座って寝ても一日の疲れは取れないでしょう。今回は、そんな辛い境遇に追われてしまったネットカフェ難民と呼ばれる人たちについて書こうと思います。 2007年の厚生労働省の統計によると、約5400人がインターネットカフェやファミリーレストランなど24時間営業のお店で寝泊りを繰り返していると推定されました。年齢で分けてみると、20代と50代が多いということが明らかにされています。その中でも、雇用形態が非正規労働者の人が大半を占めています。 彼らは、部屋の契約までにかかる敷金や礼金などの経費を払えない、保証人が見つからないなどといった壁にぶつかっています。さらに、マンションを借りた場合の毎月の家賃が収入で賄っていけないなど、理由は様々です。 長年の景気の悪化がこのように日本の雇用者に影響を与えているのが現実です。日本は、少子化問題に悩まされており、企業も現役の労働者、正規社員だけではなく、非正規労働者なしでは経営が成り立ちません。これからは、非正規社員の待遇をさらに見直し、労働者不足の問題を解決するためにも非正規社員の能力を生かして行く前向きな改革が必要だと私は思います。 Image Source:http://fifabakutyouou.cocolog-nifty.com/nikkousannsou/2008/01/post_edad.html [English]
