みなさんにとって電車の中での出来事は何でもない、ただの日常生活の一部でしょう。しかし外国人が日本の電車に一歩足を踏み入れると、彼らの文化とは全く異なる世界が繰り広げられているのです。そんな外国人にとっては変わった日本の電車文化を今日は紹介したいと思います。 １． 死んだように寝る日本人 みなさんも経験したことがあるでしょうが、なぜか電車に乗ると睡魔が襲ってきます。車両の中を見渡すと約７０％以上の人が目を閉じ、下を向いている光景を目の当たりすることが多いと思います。日本は世界的にみてもとても安全な国なので、電車の中での盗難を気にする必要はありませんが、海外では違います。ヨーロッパ諸国の人やアメリカ人は口をそろえて、「電車の中で寝た場合、盗難にある確立は非常に高くなる」と言います。そのため日本人が無用心に電車の中で寝ている姿を見ると、驚きを隠せないようです。 ２． 女性専用車両?なんだそれ！ 日本の電車において最も独特な文化といえるのが女性専用車両です。外国人はこの制度を馬鹿馬鹿しいと思っています。はじめに、多くの外国人女性は自我が強く、痴漢に触られた場合は黙ってなんかいません。さらに、周りの人も痴漢に遭った女性を迷わずサポートするでしょう。そのため、外国人には女性専用車両の必要性を理解することができません。日本人女性も勇気をもって痴漢を撃退すれば、女性専用車両を設立しなくて済むかもしれません ３． 自殺は日常茶飯事? 残念ながら、日本での自殺件数は世界でもトップレベルの数字です。年間約５００-６００人もの人が鉄道自殺 を試みます。「人身事故」という構内アナウンスを聞くだけで、また一人自らの命を絶ったことを知ります。私も電車に乗っている途中で大きな揺れを感じ、後ほどそれは飛び込み自殺から発生した揺れであったことを知りました。鉄道自殺は日本人にとってすでに珍しいものではなく、日常的に起こる出来事として処理されています。みなさんはこの事実をおかしい！と思いませんか。 外国人が驚く理由が分かりましたか?みなさんの意見をコメント欄においてお聞かせください！ [English]
