I was told this explanation: it's a combination of several factors: - due to the huge popularity of soccer, almost every kid plays in his free time. So it's possible to detect the better players from an early age. - there is so many players (amateur or professional) that the competition is very harsh: which is excellent for competitiveness. - many young streetplayers play with bare feet! They "feel" the ball better and have a better balance. :-) We should forbid the wear of shoes to all European players, just to see if it really works. Why is the Selecao such a good team, and in general the Brazilian such good players ?
