Sound Familiar?
There are very few activities which bring as much joy as a group song – it’s really always fun. This one might be a little tough for me and my fellow lexiophiles contributors though, and there seems to be some discord regarding the noises made by Old Macdonalds farm-residents. While we all can agree on “Moo” and “Meow”… it would appear the similarities stop there. There goes verse three!
I guess even though dogs, roosters or donkeys are the same everywhere, when human beings try to imitate them the sound is always different. It’s a chorus of “au-au,” “bau-bau,” “woof-woof,”… and that’s only the beginning…
So let´s check if you can recognize which country the following “dogs” and his other farm animal friends are from? The answers can be found in the comments below.
