Guest Writers Wanted!

Dec 9th, 2009 | By Ginette | Category: Featured Articles

Do you enjoy writing and love languages? Perhaps you have an article that you've always wanted to publish? If so, then we would love to post your article here on Lexiophiles! We have already had some guest articles in the past and since they were a huge success, we would like to continue with it.

Interested? Here are some guidelines:

  • The article should be about languages, culture or travel.
  • If you have a picture to go with your article, that's great! (but don't forget about copyright)
  • You can write in any language you want, and you can even write versions of the same article in different languages.
  • We encourage you to send original content that hasn't been already published somewhere else.

You might want to check some of our past guest articles in order to have a better idea. Georg on Tour is the title of a series of articles written by a globetrotter on his journeys around the world. On a different note, we also have an article on human language written by a professor of Indiana University. So, once you have your article ready, send it to us at lexiophiles[at]bab.la. We will review all submissions that we receive, and we usually publish them within two weeks.

  1. [...] This post was mentioned on Twitter by Travel News Feeds, Literature News. Literature News said: RT @TravelNewsFeeds: travel articles Guest Writers Wanted! – Lexiophiles: We have already had some guest articles in .. http://bit.ly/3hsJBg [...]

  2. I do.
Did you schedule a particular topic for the next days/weeks?

  3. No, no fixed topics. You can write about whatever you prefer as long as is related to languages, culture or travel. Cheers ;)

  4. I like the idea of writing a small article for your readers. Please visit my blog to get an idea of the topics I have covered so far. There may be some topics that would be of greater interest than others. Where could I view some of the past articles?

  5. Thanks for your interest. Your blog seems very interesting, and the topics are very relevant for us. At the moment we don’t have many guest articles, just the ones that are mentioned on this article above, but there are some coming up soon.

  6. I often write about language on my weblog (http://www.nunogomeslopes.com/). It’s actually one of the themes of the blog, alongside sustainable development. There’s one category devoted only to language (http://www.nunogomeslopes.com/category/lingua/). I also write to a newspaper (http://www.novasgz.com/), and I post on my blog all the texts I publish there (http://www.nunogomeslopes.com/category/novas-da-galiza/, and also on my old blog: http://agal-gz.org/blogues/index.php/gomes/projetos/novasdagaliza/).

I usually talk about minority languages and about the situation of the Portuguese language in Galiza (Galicia, locally called Galego), and where the speakers are told they speak a regional language, separated from Portuguese, and where their linguistic rights are constantly reduced.

    Take care!

  7. Greetings,
What an interesting site. I too have a passion for languages as well as travel. I would love to write a guest post for your site. I speak English, French, Mandarin Chinese, and Bengali. I’ve also traveled all over Europe, China, India, and Thailand and loads of other places.

If I wrote an article for your site would it be ok to embed a link back to my company http://briefcasesdirect.com ? If so, then I’ll get writing!

    Thanks,
    Lyndsey

  8. Hi,

We are happy to accept guest articles from writers that genuinely want to share something interesting with our readers, language or culture related, but the aim of the article can not be to link to your company website. Of course, if you have a personal blog we would happily consider linking to that in a short author bio.

    Regards,

  9. I would love to have an article posted on your website! My blog is http://ichestudiolangues.wordpress.com I write about languages, language learning, and my language learning adventures here in Austria as I prepare to study at University here. I will send an article soon!
