  3. Hello,

Since so many interesting blogs earned such a low rank, I am not surprised that the blog I maintain (L’Observatoire de la traduction is not in the list yet. It tries to give a feedback on the translation world news (language, tools, people, market…). Perhaps could you consider to add it?

Thanks anyway for compiling this Top of the pop’s !

  9. Hallo everyone, our company is a translation service provider, and we have got a blog in Russian about translation business: blog.allcorrect.ru
We also translate interesting articles about translation business and publish them on our blog.

  10. If you’re planning a similar list for 2009, I would like to put my blog up for consideration.

    http://aspiringpolyglotblog.wordpress.com/

One of my now-defunct blogs (Dragon Fruit) made the 2008 list. Aspiring Polyglot is only a few months old but is similar to a blog I used to have a few years ago and is a general language and language learning blog, rather than one just focusing on East Asian cultures and languages.

  11. Hi everyone,

I would appreciate if you consider our gently informative and mildly amusing blog for inclusion into your list: http://blog.web-translations.com

Content ranges from all related to languages, translation, localisation, to business, international events and technology. We have a category Facts & Funnies where you can spend some amusing minutes.

We regularly update content and all contributors are language experts so the content will always be relevant. All articles are vetted and proofed over before they are published.

Thank you very much and we hope you will like our blog!

  13. Hi there,

My Dutch language blog called ‘Luciennes taalblog’ is always language-related, but mainly treats communication problems due to failing language. Having a Flemish-Dutch household with two children, a language-and-communication-related job and many friends in Holland and foreign countries, gives me a lot to write about!

  14. For three years now I publish a blog on Dutch traditional grammar. Mainly aiming at explaining grammatical terms and issues, but occasionaly commenting on language issues in the news, like a little local miniature language log, and sometimes even light-hearted and frivolous. Of course entirely in Dutch, so you have to be a bit of a connaisseur to acknowledge the subtleties: http://taalprof.web-log.nl
