May I invite you to take a look at my blog at http://grammarforgrownups.wordpress.com/? It deals with the basics of English grammar from a linguistic perspective. My intended readers are those native English speakers who may have a misconception of what grammar is about, but may also be of wider interest.

Well what a resource you have created. I will link to your blog on my blog and we can do lunch.

We write a blog on Globalization Metrics designed for clients who are managing the translation process. So the goal is process efficiency on the client's side that has an overall impact on their cost, quality, learning and growth, etc (all Balanced Scorecard framework). We feel that this is a concept that has not been in our industry before. Would you consider reviewing our blog for your list www.langsolinc.blogspot.com

Thank you for your consideration

I think DC Blog might be given a much higher rating, given that David Crystal is Britain's leading linguist and has done so much to spread knowledge about the nature of English throughout Britain and the world.

Hi
Stumbled on this list quite recently and it has led to a fascinating journey into all sorts of new areas. Only one problem: all these blogs and posts keep me from the day job. Anyway, congratulations to all involved!
Any chance of adding http://languageunpacked.blogspot.com to the list?
Cheers

Hi all,

we will consider all entries via comments for next year's ranking. So just keep posting comments in case you feel we missed a great blog.

@Manny, Kristan, David: Thanks for pointing out your blogs. We added them to our list.

@ Elena: You can leave a your language blog button (http://www.lexiophiles.com/language-blog-toplist/top-100-language-blogs-button) on your website.

Best,
Christopher

Hi Christopher,

This is me...again. Have you thought of some sort of widget or button we can embed in the blogs for our readers to vote?

Just thinking aloud,

Elena

Dear Cristopher,

I would like to thank you for including my blog in the list. Being the 4th best blog is quite a responsibility, but it makes me feel proud too, you know, that my posts might be useful for someone else. Besides, I am a NNS, and fortunately Lexiophiles didn't take that into account (at least not as a drawback).

There are many sites on EFL and technologies out there: blogs, wikis, social networks (such as David's social network with Ning: http://eflclassroom.ning.com/index.php) and it must be really hard to assess them. It might be a good idea to separate sites according to their structure: lists of blogs vs wikis vs social networks. They have their own unique pros and cons and characteristics.

I'll write a post on Lexiophiles asap and I hope it gives you additional traffic (fair trade :)) but what's more important, followers. That's the hardest thing to get, especially for lonely blogging...

Initiatives like yours make me work harder. I hope I can keep it up.
I've included some 2.0 open and interactive features such as Kaltura open source collaborative video editing, openID (users can comment via their openIDs) in order to encourage and foster openness, semantic data exporter (yes, we're heading towards web 3.0), etc. The more accessible and open your blog is, the better.

Thank you very much. Thanks for compiling the list!
Best wishes,

Elena Benito
