Marketing, Business, Attribution, Social Media… Jobs where you’re wanted for your language skills!

by Guest Editor on April 10, 2017April 11, 2017 in English

When you’re about to start college or university, the question of your professional future is an essential one. Of course, most of us pick something we are interested in, a… [Continue Reading]

Without Facebook, Twitter and Youtube, what social media do Chinese use?

by Sally on October 13, 2015October 9, 2015 in English

As is known, Chinese can’t have access to Facebook, Twitter, or Youtube unless they pay to buy a VPN. So what social media do they usually use for their social… [Continue Reading]

by Sally on October 13, 2015October 9, 2015 in 汉语

[English]

What Tinder Taught Me about German Culture

by bab.la member on May 8, 2014May 9, 2014 in English

The title is a lie. Tinder has taught me nothing about German culture. The dating app has, however, helped me push Germans further into the judgmental box I already had them in.

by bab.la member on May 8, 2014May 9, 2014 in Norsk

Baidu, Renren, Youku, Weibo – What are they?

The Great Wall, as one of the Eight Wonders in the world, makes each Chinese feel proud. As a matter of fact, there is another invisible Great Wall in China, called as the Great Firewall, which is a project conducted by the Chinese government to control, monitor and filter the “inappropriate” sources or information from the Internet. There are quite a lot of arguments about the existance of the Great Firewall. However, this is not the subject that I am going to talk about. Rather, because of its existence, we have our own Chinese “Google”, “Facebook”, “twitter”, etc. Now let me shortly introduce them one by one.

by bab.la member on February 10, 2014February 7, 2014 in 汉语

Social media a nyelvi evolúció új lépcsőfoka?

by bab.la member on July 16, 2013July 16, 2013 in Magyar

Körülbelül húsz éve alig néhány ember tudta mi az a mobil, tíz évvel ezelőtt már rendszeresen emileket küldözgettünk egymásnak, manapság pedig egy apró eszköz segítségével bármikor felcsatlakozhatunk a világhálóra. Böngészhetünk… [Continue Reading]
