Today’s world is communicating in many different ways, and Twitter is the latest addition to our communication channels. With about 60 million unique visitors this channel is here to stay. What does that mean for the bab.la dictionaries? We need to go where the user is. We always have done this, starting with widgets, toolbars, a mobile website and now Twitter. So it was time to re-innovate ourselves and as an online dictionary bring translations to Twitter.
The idea is simple: just tweet the word you want to translate to @babladict and you’ll get a reply from us with the corresponding translation. Want to give it a try? Check out our Twitter translation page at http://twitter.com/babladict.
Mission accomplished. And a warm welcome to our new 60 million Twitter users 🙂 So how did we come up with this idea? We just listened to our users. In this case it was Andre who came up with the idea. Do you have any ideas you want to share? Contact us, we’d love to hear from you.
Wow always so many good ideas! I wish you a lot of success with this!!
