I couldn’t agree more with the saying “home is where the heart is” and “home” in my case is Thailand, my motherland. Thailand is a miraculous country with many delights for its travelers. I’ll share with you some of the reasons (out of a million) why I am in love with Thailand and to be honest, to persuade you in the hopes that you would find your way to discover a country that you might as well fall in love with just like me.
What I love the most about Thailand is the people, Thai people are nice and well-mannered. “Wai” is the greeting that Thai people do on their everyday basis, they simply put their two hands together, bow their head slightly and say “Sawad-dee” However, putting a “ka” (if you are a girl), or “Krub” (if you are a guy) at the end of every sentences is considered to be a well-appropriated manner. Thais are best known for their smiling faces and kindness. Due to their open minds, they accept whoever you are and will still be loved. Most importantly, Thai people have their ways to treat tourists as if they are the most prestigious guest in their country.
We cannot talk about Thailand without mentioning the food. If you are a fan of spicy food, you would probably try ones of its most popular dishes “Tom Yum Goong” and “Chicken Green Curry.” However, if you prefer a non-spicy food rather than the spicy ones, there are a few menus that are non-spicy. For instance, “Phat Thai” which is a stir-fried rice noodle mixed with eggs and tofu, flavored with fish sauce, sugar and garlic or “Moo Sa-tay”, a marinated pork dip with the peanut sauce. The best part? Thai street food is available 24/7 so it is completely fine if you wake up starving at 3 in the morning, you can always buy mouth-watering, freshly-made food in every corner of the streets, plus, there are varieties of menus to select based on your preferences.
Lastly, its pristine beaches: Thai beaches are stunning. Its soft sand, the crystal clear water, along with its warm climate. Seriously!?! Need I say more?!?
