On October 14th I wrote a movie review about Fack ju Göhte (2013). This time the movie review is about the follow-up movie called Fack ju Göhte 2 (2015). Watch the trailer here:
Fack ju Göhte 2 had its premiere on September 7th and until now more than 7 million people have watched the movie, which makes Fack ju Göhte 2 the most popular movie of the year! This is a good reason to go watch it if you have not already done it.
Hr. Müller is still a teacher on Goethe Gesamtschule. He has some diamonds that he has hidden in Laura’s teddy bear in his home – now he lives with Frau Schnabelstedt and her younger sister Laura. The school where he teaches is planning to become a partner school with a school in Thailand, so Frau Schnabelstedt collects things to bring and to give the kids when they arrive in Thailand – amongst them also Laura’s teddy with the diamonds.
Hr. Müller gives all he can to go to Thailand with his class, and he succeeds. BUT somehow, Frau Schnabelstedt cannot make it through the security check in the airport, and then the mess and fun begins. The ex-boyfriend of Frau Schnabelstedt is a teacher at another school, and this school is also trying to be a partner-school with the school in Thailand – so there is also this aspect of competition!
The teenagers act irresponsibly and there is not much Hr. Müller can do. His search for the diamonds is crazy, and of course, the movie is filled with jokes and funny quotes. This follow-up movie is, like the first one, a funny way to learn a bit of German.
I will not let you know how it ends – you really need to watch it yourself!
