What could possibly go wrong when you are abroad alone? Getting lost? Do not get what they say? Or falling in love? Like they said, life is short. Getting lost in paradise (on earth) or maybe, in love once in a life time might not be a bad idea.
Before catching the flight here, I was super excited for my new journey as I knew that the world was waiting for me to explore. However, it is always challenging, no matter how many times I have been outside Thailand, the land where you can get anything you want without handing your entire wallet!
This time, I have not only been traveling, but also doing a short-term internship in the center of Hamburg, which, so far, has been quite a nice experience. I do not only learn but also get to know other interns from around the world here.
My first week was the loneliest but there were many good weeks ahead to enjoy. I have not wasted a single weekend on bed but packed my stuff and got ready to see what Europe had to offer. Of course, Hamburg was my first choice.
Eventually, I have to accept that time flies. I tell myself if I could ever go back in time, I would do this again…travelling across the world to do something significant, meet new people, and see all the amazing cities with my own eyes…
To all of you who are not sure or afraid of getting outside your comfort zone, do not ever let a second pass and wake up one day to find your journey diary blank.
“To awaken quite alone in a strange town is one of the pleasantest sensations in the world.” – Freya Stark
