The favourite blog of the bab.la users this edition is Brasileiras Pelo Mundo, a blog that brings together over 70 female expat columnists from all over the world. With a little over 11% of the votes, this Brazilian blog (in Portuguese) was the clear winner and worthy successor of E-Dublin, last year’s winner.
Runner up of IX16 is I am Aileen, written (in English) by Philippine digital nomad and entrepreneur Aileen Adalid. Quitting her job at 21 to travel the world, with her sustainable travel lifestyle Aileen is a role model to all travellers-to-be!
Felipe Morato Gomes comes in third. The Portuguese blogger is a real travel expert, having travelled around the world twice himself. On his blog he writes about his experiences (in Portuguese).
E-Dublin, IX15 winner, ends on the fourth place this year. The winner of the Facebook album, Allegra from A leap into the unknown, finishes as 15th. Blogs in Portuguese are particularly popular this year: next to the three already mentioned blogs, two more complete the top 10.
The authors of the Top 10 blogs receive Babbel vouchers to learn a language of their choosing.
bab.la wishes to thank all participating bloggers and voters for taking part in the contest. With over 300 participants and over 5500 votes, the Top 100 International Exchange and Expats Blogs Competition has once again reached new heights both in terms of participants and voters. Thank you all for supporting, and see you next year!
