This is it: our last article on the series of 15 day of traveling across South America is here. Not only it will bring an end to these, but it will – like the others – leave you amazed. That is because this last one is about an incredible region in the north of Brazil that few foreigners know about, but is one of the most beautiful landscapes of the whole country – the Lençóis Maranhenses region!
So, this is coming to an end. Our series of fifteen articles about our trip around South America has taken us to places and countries and I hope you are all enjoying it a lot. Brazil is our last country, and before this ends, we have another opportunity to get to know one of the most paradisiac places in the Atlantic coast! This time, we are coming to the amazing city of Pipa!
On our first day in Brazil we went to the super urban landscape of São Paulo; on the second day, we enjoyed the beaches and mountains of Rio. Today, our journey through South America in 15 days brings us to the amazing city of Salvador – a place with such a distinct culture it will make you feel like you are in another country!
This has been an incredible journey so far. In the past ten days, we have showed you beauties and landscapes of amazing countries on the western coast of South America. The Caribbean coast in #Santa Marta#(http://www.lexiophiles.com/?p=31261), the middle of the world in #Ecuador#(http://www.lexiophiles.com/?p=31357), the salt desert in #Bolivia#(http://www.lexiophiles.com/english/travelling-across-south-america-in-15-days-day-6-la-paz-bolivia), the ruins in #Peru#(http://www.lexiophiles.com/?p=31483), the snow deserts in #Patagonia#(http://www.lexiophiles.com/english/travelling-across-south-america-in-15-days-day-8-patagonia) and, more recently, your first day in Brazil, enjoying the urban landmarks of #São Paulo#(http://www.lexiophiles.com/english/31808). Now get ready for more action and an amazing weather, because now you are arriving to the Brazil’s most famous city, Rio de Janeiro.
So this is our first visit to a non-Spanish-speaking country. For the past few days we have witnessed the most amazing place by the pacific side of South America, now we are going to dedicate the rest of the trip to get to know the best that Brazil has to offer!
This is it! Definitely going north in our trip! We started in the warm and tropical lands of Colombia and have been to amazing places in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina, and today the place we will visit is going to mark the last Spanish speaking country we will be in! Prepare the fun for amazing times and enjoy Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay!
So, after an amazing experience with the natural beauties of Bolivia, the incredible ruins and urban landscapes of Peru, the walk in the middle of the world in Ecuador and the beaches and exciting activities going on in Colombia, we are ready to jump into another country – Chile, this time!
This is the sixth place in South America you will never forget. So far you’ve been to, roughly, three countries – Colombia, Ecuador, Peru – and at least five cities – Santa Marta, Medellín, Quito, Lima and Cusco. And it’s a great thing that this is a trip and not a competition for the most incredible landscape of this region of the American continent – otherwise things at this point would get fierce!
The trip to Lima from your last stop in Ecuador is a long one, so make sure you have enough rest and are fresh to start a new day in another amazing country. Peru has amazing natural, historical and urban landscapes to offer and you won’t probably make it to see everything is to see in only one day, so as we split Colombia’s trip in two days (so you could enjoy both north and south), Peru’s guide will be split in two days, so you have more time to enjoy it!
The first time I set foot on Hamburg I told myself: I have to know it better. Hamburg is one of the few cities with which it’s love at first sight: it amazes you for the wonderful combination between ancient and modern, the old yet so young air you can breathe in everywhere.
